Ever been to a house concert? The 5X5 Drama Series is exactly that, but instead, it’s theatre. Performances beyond the footlights in alternative spaces like breweries, rooftops, apartments, and more. Each of the 5 performances will consist of 5 beautifully written 10-minute plays, performed by 5 casts, throughout the 5 boroughs.
SPECIAL EVENT
Theatre East’s founders were born and raised in East Texas. And dancing was a big part of that upbringing. On any given weekend, whether it was slow Western Swing, the Texas Two Step, or an old fashioned Country Waltz, you would find music halls, VFWs, and even someone’s barn full of food, cold beer, people and great music. We decided to bring this Texas tradition to the northeast and add in some New York flair.
