Theatre East was incorporated as a Delaware nonprofit corporation in April 2009 and received the authority to conduct activities in the State of New York in July 2009. Theatre East is in the process of preparing its application for recognition of exemption under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. If Theatre East receives an exemption under Section 501(c)(3), any donation received will be a tax-deductible contribution to the extent allowed by law. Theatre East anticipates filing such application shortly and is reasonably confident that it will receive recognition of exemption under 501(c)(3), but cannot guarantee that it will receive such a positive determination. We will advise all donors if such determination is received.
